“I can’t say enough about Qing Long Tai Chi Arts Society. Almost a year ago, I signed up for their beginner program. The instructors are extremely knowledgable and teach in a thorough, clear and kind manner. Since then, I have moved on to the continuing class and have seen an improvement in my strength and flexibility, among other health benefits. Extra bonus, this is a group of friendly, kind and encouraging people. Five stars, all around.”

“I discovered a completely unexpected benefit recently: Tai-Chi.
I attended two classes and that’s all it took to know I was onto something. It’s hard to explain the feeling of relaxation and calm, yet energy that ensues not only right after class, but generally in my everyday life. I had no idea that it would provide a new approach to my life at a physical and mental level.
Besides a warm friendly welcome and introduction, the teachers after that didn’t just show you the moves, they clearly explained all the principles, as we progressed step by step (sometimes even in slow-motion). Positive constructive criticism is aimed towards helping you advance.
I also find it enlightening to read about Tai-Chi, its principles and the philosophy that underpin it.
I wish I had discovered Tai-Chi much sooner in my life. You can obviously start at any age or shape.
A little Tai-Chi a day goes a long way! By making my commitment to Tai-Chi, my life has changed and I am now able to do a greater range of activities. The results speak for themselves and I intend to keep practising because “I love it” and I have experienced the healing power of these internal arts.
I wish to thank “all” the knowledgeable teachers for genuinely developing the feeling of my general well-being.”
My name is D and I have fallen in love with Tai-Chi.
“Sean is an excellent teacher dedicated to helping students evolve their personal practice, no matter their level of experience or physical fitness, to maximize the benefits for each individual. His classes are fun, highly informative, and can be physically challenging at times. He has long term participants ranging in age from young adults to people in their 90s. All benefit from these arts. I highly recommend Qing Long Tai Chi!”

“It is with so much appreciation that I write this review. My friend inspired me to participate in this Tai Chi Arts Society 2 years ago. I began my journey with challenging health concerns (severe Spinal Stenosis and severe Sleep Apnea). My physical and mental changes were significant.
Now, I often arrive for class in a state of pain, barely able to stand; to skipping away at the end…(well not quite). The reality is that the difference speaks volumes to the infinite depth of Tai Chi. I dance at least 6 times a week and practice yoga and Pilates; and I truly feel that Tai Chi is the element that elevates these to new heights.
I will be forever grateful to my teachers here, who combine infinite patience with liberating humour. I literally fell in love with the practice and the people. I also love the (continuing) classes held 3 times a week at beautiful Kits Beach; it’s the perfect backdrop to Tai Chi.
Although my health has experienced a few setbacks, I cannot imagine a life without Tai Chi.”
With gratitude always, Lyn
“I wasn't sure if this "moving meditation" was for me. It seemed too slow to do much good. Turned out I was very wrong! I have recently completed my 4-month beginner session at Qing Long Tai Chi Arts and WOW, so many great things to say about this group, the instructors, and the practice itself! I’ll start by saying I’m now a student for life. The two hour classes fly by as you leave the world (and all your worries) behind. Sean and the other instructors have fostered an atmosphere of learning, listening, helping, growing, laughing, and sharing. There is no room for comparing, competing, or failing. Everyone is successful, allowed to go at their own pace, yet somehow safely encouraged to keep trying. Most surprising to me are the benefits I have already seen in my life, mind, and body. I had no expectations but have experienced improved hip flexibility (I badly needed this), decreased knee pain, and better balance! Mentally, I am able to return to my calm center more easily when life gets crazy. The classes are fun, but it doesn't end there. What matters to me are the real-life practical applications of continued practice. And contrary to the popular stereotype, it's not just for old people! If you are at all curious about this ancient art, I would encourage you to give it a try.”
